Like everything that happens when you don’t expect it, that’s when I stayed almost speechless (rare in my house, with what I like to talk about). It had been said that WWDC 2022 was going to be an online event, albeit with some face-to-face component – however, attendance at Apple Park was restricted to a small group of developers, almost like a symbolic gesture after these two and a half years of pandemic.
What better reason than to change all my plans than to attend an event at Apple Park again
“I have two weeks to change all the plans” – I thought when I was invited back to Apple Park. Two years later (almost three), the world is radically different but it is certainly the best time to return. I couldn’t believe it, that afternoon I went back to review everything photos of past events in California and I’ve found many new ways to make you feel like you’re there again. Two years have passed, but we have all learned a lot.
While you read these lines, I will be in the airport towards Cupertino, to find colleagues – friends – and relive the adventures of a mythical place in the world for those of us who love technology. We will review what has changed, but above all, what they have prepared for us. Are you? Because Apple can come back very strongly in this WWDC22.

The ace event security measures They were extremely strict. I have been virtually confined for the past two weeks to avoid a Last minute positive COVID, which would have ruined the flight. Apple will also test us for antigens before entering Apple Park and at any event, as well as wearing FFP2 masks at all times. Everything is designed for take advantage of this first face-to-face event in the safest way.
I still don’t know where we’ll see the keynote, but we’ll also follow it with a video – i.e. it looks like there won’t be a stage show as usual – since we we are still in this transition period between online mode and full face-to-face mode which will surely arrive in September with the new iPhone. It will be inside Apple Park, but maybe they will move the Steve Jobs Theater event to another location (possibly inside the circlethe main building).

I will be too support developers tour the Apple Park facilities and get first-hand knowledge of any new Apple at WWDC22. This Apple Event is off to a great start and we can expect anything. As someone who started watching these keynotes twenty years ago in their parents’ house, and can now share them with you, I assure you that I’ll be your eyes and ears in California.
