Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 version and detailed benefits of each

Three different versions will be offered Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

Below, you can find out what’s in the game for each edition, starting with the Vault edition.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Safe Edition Considered the ultimate version. It’s available on all platforms and is the highest-tier version available for $99.99 or the equivalent in your region.

In addition to the base game, the Vault Edition includes the following:

• Red Team 141 Pack: Multiplayer Operators Ghost, Farah, Price and Soap in special masked costumes themed after the legendary mercenary Ghost are available on the first day.
• FJX Cinder Arsenal: More details on the FJX Cinder Weapon Vault and the new Gunsmith will be shared when Modern Warfare 2 launches.
• Season 1 Battle Pass: For one season, this product also offers 50 tiers to skip (or equivalent) for free. If the Vault Edition is purchased after the first season, the free battle pass and tier jump can be applied to the current season. This perk will allow you to unlock all seasonal content such as weapon blueprints, operator skins, and more.
• Ghost Legacy Pack: This pack contains previously released Modern Warfare Bundle content, which includes over a dozen Ghost skins as well as 10 tactical weapon blueprints from the same family. For Ghost fans who may already own this content, this won’t be the only instant unlock reward in the current Warzone.
• In-Store Rewards: Buying Modern Warfare 2 through the in-game store (via Warzone, Vanguard, Black Ops Cold War or Modern Warfare) will grant you 10 hours of Double XP Tokens and 10 hours of Double Weapon XP Tokens at launch.
• Intergenerational: This edition also includes access to previous-gen console versions (PS4, Xbox One) and current versions (PS5, Xbox Series X/S) of Modern Warfare 2.

Together with Vault Edition, Standard PC and Cross-Generation digital version Rewards and upgrade abilities will also be included.

All gaming platforms have a digital version that includes the base product and other instant rewards that will be announced soon. It will run you $69.99 or the equivalent in your area.

This cross-generational bundling Modern Warfare 2 will give you access to the previous console version of Modern Warfare 2 as well as the current version. When using next-gen consoles, make sure you’re playing this version of the game, not the previous-gen version, as both are available for download in cross-gen bundles.

This release will also be available on disc for PlayStation and Xbox. It should be noted that the PS5 disc version does not include the PS4 version of Modern Warfare 2.

For PC, the digital edition is the standard edition, and is the only other edition of Modern Warfare 2 outside of the Sanctuary Edition for this platform.

Additional rewards that all digital pre-order customers will receive will be announced at a later date.

At select retailers, there will also be specially marked Modern Warfare 2 boxes that include a unique Call of Duty donation pack. This Call of Duty donation set will be available immediately on October 28th.

Coming to Battle.net, PS4, PS5, Steam, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S, the next game in the series will be released on October 28.

All editions of the game are available for pre-order now, and no matter which edition you buy, you get early access to the public beta. The beta promises to give you an in-depth look at the game’s multiplayer, including maps, modes, weapons, and other features.

While exact dates and details will be revealed in the coming weeks, the beta will be available first on PlayStation.
