Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is considered one of the great shooter hopes of the gaming year 2022. Story, setting, graphics – there are enough exciting topics that have been speculated about for months. Now, a well-known insider is throwing a new ingredient into the rumor stew: a map editor!

claims to know about the existence of a map editor. In the past, the insider known for his leaks was often right. Nevertheless, nobody is immune to failure and of course we should view this information with a dose of skepticism until we receive official confirmation.
What should the map editor be able to do? According to Ralph Valve, players should be able to fundamentally change existing maps. Yes, you read that right: you should no completely new maps can create. According to the insider, there will be no shortage of options, including the following options:

- Changing the entire scenery

The map editor is said to have been in the works at the Infinity Ward and Treyarch development studios for around three years. Accordingly, the tool should not be retired again after Modern Warfare 2.
Rather, at least Treyarch is planning to turn the map editor into a central element of the next in-house Free2Play title expand, which should appear next year, according to Ralph Valve.
