Users are angry at Apple for not supporting this iPhone model!
Officially the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are not in the list of iOS 16 compatible devices.
The decision that leaves these models, launched in 2016, without the new updates has caused great dissatisfaction among its users. And although iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, first generation iPhone SE also come with them, there are those who believe that it is an unjustified absence.
Sure, Twitter was the scene for sharing this complaint and the allegations that blame Apple abound.
No reason why iPhone 7 is not compatible with iOS 16
Apple alleges that iOS 16 features such as live text, dictation or emoji search, or discovering app capabilities with Siri, only are supported on iPhones with more powerful processors. However, and According to users, there are other features that their devices could benefit from..
Apple disappointed me because it disabled software support for no reason for iPhone 7, 7 plus, MacBook Air 2017, MacBook Pro 2016. We want ios 16 and macOS Ventura on these devices because they are still capable. @Apple it is a great shame for you.

And that’s not a far-fetched request. The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 plus owners compare iPadOS 16 compatibility with 6th and 7th generation iPads, which use the same A 10 Fusion chip. Even the fifth-generation iPad, which has the less powerful A9 chip compared to the A10 Fusion chip in the iPhone 7, also supports iPadOS 16.
Although users have expressed their understanding of the differences between iOS and iPadOS, they have also they ensure that both systems share many of the same features and underlying technology.
Based on the similarities of iOS and iPadOS, users said they could benefit from the performance and security improvements offered by iOS 16as well as small improvements like the ability to edit iMessageswhich do not require a lot of CPU work.
But before Apple’s decision, they denounced “aggressive marketing” to force users to update their devices.
I love how Apple is forcing iPhone 6 and iPhone 7 users to upgrade to this iOS 16. Aggressive marketing at its finest.#WWDC22 pic.twitter.com/1sZu41kMy6

Of course, offering the latest features on the newest devices isn’t new to Apple either. The company even stands out from the competition by the planned obsolescence it offers.
This time, Apple’s known practices do not make iPhone 7 users happy, let alone those of the iPhone 7 Plus. Since at some point and precisely taking into account its greater amount of memory, it was thought that it would be compatible with the new iOS 16.
