Techland has been bringing new content to its zombie action game Dying Light for seven years, but that’s coming to an end – with a surprise.
Techland isn’t exactly stingy when it comes to supporting their own games. It has already been announced that Dying Light 2: Stay Human will be fed with new content for at least five years and a look at the predecessor confirms this. Released in 2015, Dying Light was maintained for seven years – later this year there was a New Gen update and an anniversary DLC.
But that’s over now, Techland wants to concentrate exclusively on the successor in the future. Not without a surprise, though, as Dying Light is coming with a Definitive Edition and it’s supposed to be out today, as a digital release on all platforms (except for Switch, which version will be out later).
Dying Light: Definitive Edition will include the base game and all 26 DLCs, including skin packs and expansions, and will be sold at a special price. Furthermore, the Harran Tactical Unit Bundle is the final DLC that will be available for free over the next two weeks. Dying Light Platinum Edition owners also automatically receive a free upgrade to the Definitive Edition.
