Summer Game Fest returned this year on Thursday 9th June with a live stream event where host Geoff Keighley showed off new game announcements, new trailers for upcoming games and some surprising reveals.

street fighter 6
Just a week after the game’s official reveal, Capcom is already giving fans a new, expanded look street fighter 6, the company’s next-generation fighting game. On Thursday at Summer Game Fest, Capcom featured Guile battling against his American rival Luke and veteran fighter Ryu.
Aliens: Dark ancestry
Aliens: Dark Descent is a new third-person action game from Tindalos Interactive. The cinematic trailer for Dark Descent shows a small team of Colonial Marines working to move through some sort of base. We see a team of four marines using automatic weapons and a rocket launcher to slow – but not stop – an oncoming wave of creatures. Announced at Summer Game Fest, Aliens: Dark Descent coming in 2023.
The Callisto Protocol
Striking Distance CEO Glen Schofield was on hand at Summer Game Fest to present a new trailer and gameplay footage The Callisto Protocol — a trailer host Geoff Keighley dubbed the “Schofield Cut” — that showcases just how dangerous outer space can be. Debuting during Thursday’s Summer Game Fest, the video shows more of the game’s viscous menace than ever before.
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2
A new level for Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 was unveiled at the Summer Game Fest. The level called Dark Water takes place on a huge cargo ship. The ship level trailer features some impressive graphics and firefights from the game, but perhaps the most notable part is its moving cover art.
flashback 2
A cult-classic platformer developed by Microids Studio Lyon finally gets a sequel 30 years after the release date of the original game. flashback 2 also has a release window. The game was announced during Summer Game Fest and will be released in Winter 2022.
Fort Solis
Two industry veterans: Troy Baker (The last of us) and Roger Clark (Red Dead Redemption 2) have teamed up to work on a new thriller game called Mars Fort Solis. The two announced the game on stage at Summer Game Fest on Thursday.
The debut trailer for the game teased the concept: space settlers have colonized Mars, but then something goes wrong. Frantic clips of the base in a state of emergency build to a final clip of a man saying, “Something’s going on here and I need to find out what it is.”

Sci-Fi Horror Game routine finally has an update after almost a decade in development. The new trailer premiered Thursday during Summer Game Fest. The game is on its way to PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Game Pass, but has no release date yet.
routineThe Re-Reveal trailer brings players back to its dark and spooky futuristic setting using all of the in-game footage. According to a press release from developer Lunar Software, the team has revived the game by rebuilding it from the ground up to better match its original vision.

Frost Giant Studios, a team of many former Blizzard Entertainment developers who worked on games such as star ship 2 and Warcraft 3revealed his debut game Thursday at Summer Game Fest. storm gate is a new real-time strategy game that promises an “evolving story through exciting campaign missions where science fiction and fantasy collide”.

Publisher Rogue Games and developer Demagog challenge players to venture into a dark, flooded world floodthe “narrative-driven isometric survival game” announced Thursday during Summer Game Fest.
Goat Simulator 3
Coffee Stain Studios got us once again. No, that wasn’t a trailer for dead island 2it is Goat Simulator 3 — riffing again on a dead island Follower. That Goat Simulator 3 Trailer debuted Thursday during Summer Game Fest.
Of course there isn’t Goat Simulator 2and call it Goat Simulator 3 just makes sense. Chaos. It will be released in 2022 via the Epic Games Store for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and Windows PC.
WonderThe Midnight Sun
Marvel’s Midnight Sun, the next turn-based game from the team behind XCOM, revealed a new – and unusual – turn-based feature on Thursday. You can see more in a new gameplay trailer released during Summer Game Fest.
Cuphead‘s Delicious Last Course DLC
before Cuphead‘s new DLC release date, Studio MDHR debuted a new trailer on Thursday during Summer Game Fest. The new DLC, called The delicious last coursewill be released on June 30th for Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Windows PC.
Honkai: Starway
Honkai: Starway is a new sci-fi open-world adventure from the creators of Genshin Impact. The game follows the story of a protagonist who embarked on an interstellar journey aboard the Astral Express. The game features a turn-based combat system in which you assemble a team of unique fighters, each with their own distinct combat abilities.
Zenless Zone Zero
Zenless Zone Zero is the latest project from HoYoverse. The lavish cinematic trailer was unveiled during the Summer Game Fest livestream event.
Host Geoff Keighley kicked off the trailer with a touch of analysis and said so ZZZ offers “the detail of Genshin Impact with a fast-paced action style.” The “futuristic urban action game,” as he called it, takes place in a city called New Eridu, where a massive conspiracy is running amok.
TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge
Old school beat ’em up Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s revenge gets a seventh playable character, Casey Jones, developer Tribute Games and Dotemu, revealed Thursday at Summer Game Fest. Jones, the hockey mask-wearing, stick-wielding vigilante, will join Donatello, Leonardo, Michelangelo, Raphael, Splinter and April O’Neil in a tribute to Konami’s Ninja Turtle games of yesteryear.
One Piece Odyssey
Bandai Namco unveiled a new look One Piece Odyssey, a new JRPG based on the long-running anime and manga One piece. The publisher revealed new information about the Straw Hats’ next great adventure at Summer Game Fest on Thursday.
Saints Row Boss factory
Volition’s upcoming Saints Row reboot simply titled Saints Rowwon’t be available until August 23 – but you can get started and design your character now. Saints Row Boss Factory is a pre-release download now available on all platforms.
nightingale
The first-person fantasy survival game from Inflexion Games nightingale appeared at Summer Game Fest on Thursday with a new trailer showing how its map system blends with its 3D world.
nightingale is described as a shared world, player vs. environment game in which players will battle and craft through the Victorian fantasy world and visit many different realms. (The maps seem to be very important for realm hopping.)
layers of fears
Bloober Team takes another shot with their psychological and psychedelic horror franchise, Layers of Fear. layers of fearswhich was officially announced at Summer Game Fest on Thursday, is slated for release in early 2023 on PlayStation 5, Windows PC Xbox Series X.
It certainly has that familiar, spooky vibe, judging by the trailer. The story will not focus on one character; Instead, it will dissipate over different generations.
Gotham Knights
Batman may not be pictured Gotham Knights, but there are still many crime fighters to protect the city. The latest DC Universe game from WB Games Montreal received a new gameplay demo during Thursday’s Summer Game Fest, and this time the focus was on Dick Grayson, aka Nightwing.
The trailer lets Nightwing introduce himself a bit before showing off some of his impressive moves in battle. He’s got two batons, a grappling hook, a projectile-firing gun, and some awesome martial arts.
The last of us Part 1
A revised version of The last of us launches September 2nd on PlayStation 5 and later comes to Windows PC. The remake has a new name, The Last of Us Part 1matching the title of the 2020 sequel to the game on PlayStation 4, The Last of Us Part 2.
Neil Druckmann, co-president of Naughty Dog, confirmed this The last of us remake at Summer Game Fest on Thursday, calling the PlayStation 5 re-release the “definitive version” of the game.
