Geoff Keighley’s Summer Game Fest ended with a little pop yesterday. There was some interesting announcementsincluding a June 16 release date for TMNT: Shredder’s Revengebut The Geoffening was mostly overshadowed through the smaller Day of the Devs presentation that followed immediately. Still, Keigh3 – or whatever we call it – had a revelation that was both bewildering and hilarious. It was for Coffee Stain Studios Goat Simulator 3replicating a zombified one dead island 2 Trailers to troll literally everyone who watches the show. Again.
Originally published in April 2014, Goat Simulator is a crazy physics-based third-person action game in which you control a goat and wreak havoc on the inhabitants of the game world. It’s wacky in the best possible way: a meme game that lets you stretch the goat’s limbs or strap a jetpack onto its back, or any number of other dumb wacky shenanigans. The game was ported to almost every console but hadn’t received a direct sequel until Hot Geoff Summer, where Coffee Stain skipped a second entry Goat Simulator 3.
That World premiere trailer to the Goat Simulator 3– Seriously, what happened Goat Simulator 2? – opens with Geoff standing on a digitized beach and saying this is a “sequel we’ve all been waiting for”. Before coming to the reveal, he made a few more misleading statements, claiming we “don’t want to be bitten” and that after “many years of rumours” we finally have an update. Geoff then cuts to the game’s trailer, which shows an all-white runner jogging briskly on a very sunny boardwalk. He cranked up his music and stretched before he began. He pointed to a woman roller skating who gave him the thumbs down before being headbutted by a goat. He even kept running, unaware of the chaos around him.
Like, come on. That is the dead island 2 follower by Hella a long time ago. In case you forgot, Deep Silver revealed the highly anticipated Zombie Survival sequel during Sony’s E3 2014 presentation. The trailer is quite similar, with a runner in all white jogging on what appears to be California’s Santa Monica Pier. Clearly bitten by a zombie, he decides to spend his final moments running until the infection catches up with him. The trailer ends with the runner jogging alongside a zombie horde before being splashed.
Unfortunately, people fell for it Goat Simulator 3trolls. When the Summer Game Fest live stream took place, many took to social media express enthusiasm at the thought of dead island 2 finally a comeback after nearly a decade of absence, only for that hype to turn to dismay. Some praised Coffee Stain Studios for doing so “godlike” Bait-and-switch while others were very disappointed to learn it was not dead island 2.

my box has reached out to Coffee Stain and Deep Silver for comment.
This isn’t the first time Coffee Stain Studios has copied a dead island Neither do followers. When Goat Simulator was first published The developer has released a launch video that parodies the OG dead islandAnnouncement trailer by. It featured slow-motion gameplay footage of a goat crashing through a building after being catapulted by an exploding gas station. It seems to me that Coffee Stain not only plays us, but also Deep Silver since then dead island 2s development was so precarious It changed studios a few times beautiful. Deep Silver has been relatively quiet about the long-awaited zombie survival game, so maybe Coffee Stain is just as curious. Apparently, dead island 2is still under development. Maybe.
Goat Simulator 3 launches this fall on PC, PlayStation consoles and Xbox series systems. Unfortunately I can’t say the same about dead island 2.
