Red Alert for those waiting for Hollow Knight Silksong. The game could well be present at the Xbox conference to make a nice announcement.
Nothing at the last Indie World, nothing at the Summer Game Fest 2022 conference, Hollow Knight Silksong was meant to be the big absence from the celebrations. All hope is not lost for Metroidvania fans, however, as a very big surprise is on the way for Xbox.
Hollow Knight Silksong at the Xbox Conference? It’s strongly possible
Despite an opening conference that divided the community, Summer Game Fest 2022 is far from over. Guerrilla Collective and Wholesome Direct will take place this afternoon and will focus on independent and AA games, while the Future Games Show could have some great gameplay-related announcements. But it’s mostly the Xbox+ Bethesda Showcase that’s expected at the turn, and that should bring good news for those eagerly awaiting some Metroidvania.
According to insider The Snitch, Hollow Knight Silksong will be available on Xbox Game Pass on day one. At this stage we can almost remove the condition as the source in question has leaked the entire state of affairs and release date of The Last of Us Remake. It could therefore be that during the Xbox conference there will be talk again about the sequel to Hollow Knight, hopefully also with new images and a release date.
Remember that since its announcement in 2019, Hollow Knight Silksong has been hoped for at every event. The game fell into complete silence, despite Team Cherry claiming in January 2021 that its development content was nearing the end. The title was anticipated after a teaser by its marketing director at the Summer Game Fest and it could be that we didn’t bet on the right conference. See you this Sunday, June 12 at 7 p.m. during the Xbox & Bethesda Showcase for the story ending.
