Planet of Lana gameplay trailer premieres at Future Game Show.

Thunderful and independent developer Wishfully Studios have released a new gameplay trailer for their highly anticipated cinematic-puzzle adventure Planet of Lana.

Unveiled at Future Game Show, this new trailer offers the most diverse and in-depth look at the bewitching adventure yet.

The new gameplay trailer shows off even more of the lush green forests and awe-inspiring deserts shown in previous trailers, and gives us an intriguing glimpse into the dark, atmospheric caves.

Even more exciting are the hints the trailer gives of what to expect when you dive into this artistic creation later this year. In the video, you’ll see how Lana and her cat companion, Mui, must work together to overcome the many dangers and mysteries that come their way, with Mui’s ability to manipulate the natural environment proving special in this off-earth odyssey proves useful.

From dangerous platforms to spindly stalking robots, cave-dwelling creatures to towering monolithic wanderers, Lana and Mui face both wondrous sights and a myriad of dangers.

Set on an alien world, Planet of Lana tells the story of Lana and her faithful animal companion, Mui, as they embark on a rescue mission to save their sister.

This touching story is experienced through the lens of a cinematic side-scrolling gameplay format as players explore a colorful world filled with stunning environments, strange creatures and dangerous machines. From a gameplay perspective, Planet of Lana is an adventure filled with daring platformers, engaging puzzles, thrilling stealth sequences, and a companion mechanic that ties Lana and Mui together, allowing for unique gameplay and story moments in where they use their skills together.

The Planet of Lana soundtrack was composed by DICE and BAFTA-nominated composer Takeshi Furukawa, known for his work on The Last Guardian.

This off-world odyssey is associated with a completely unique visual style that combines hand-drawn graphics, complex parallax overlays and subtle use of 3D graphics to give the impression of an interactive painting.

On high-end PCs and the Xbox Series X, Planet of Lana runs at a native resolution of 4K (2160p) at 60 frames per second, bringing the graphics to life in crisp detail.

Planet of Lana’s hand-painted visuals, unforgettable story, and epic soundtrack will be available exclusively on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam and the Windows 10 Store in late 2022.
