We’ve been hearing for some time that the upcoming iPhone 14 Pro will have a big new feature in the form of an always-on display. There are clues for those who want to see them, like the monochrome widgets of iOS 16. But now we know that there are already users who appreciate (rather, suffer) the always-on screen in none other than… an iPhone X!

iPhone 14 Pro may unleash the featured feature with iOS 16. But the truth is, it’s already there are users who have it

This is a short video where you can see this model with the latest version of iOS tests. It may look like a screenshot or what the video is altered in some way. However, in recent days, videos similar to this have appeared which mimic the flagship feature of the iPhone 14 Pro:
Either way, it’s an iPhone X. And we also see other coincidences, because both are loading at the time of displaying the screen like this. As we can see, this is a bug, an unexpected reaction from an iOS 16 which is still in its first beta.
Some users claim to have encountered this bug under certain circumstances. For example, after midnight, with the iPhone fully discharged and connect it to power. Users on the Reddit thread claim to have encountered this error on other iPhone models. They agree to find the iPhone like that at night, while charging.
Of course, this is one of the weirdest bugs we’ve seen lately.
As can be seen in one of the videos, the screen does not react to touch. The lock button must be pressed to turn off the screen and turn it back on to make it functional again. The truth is, we don’t know why it happens and why it happens again in iPhone models that, in theory, won’t support always-on display.
Of course, a few days ago a code was found in iOS 16 which highlighted iPhone 14 Pro always-on screen mode. Most likely, iOS 16 hides this mode inside and an error to solve brought it to these iPhones by accident.
