news hardware China May Have Spotted Extraterrestrial Signals!
A Chinese report unveiled a few days ago, which has since mysteriously disappeared, suggested the giant Sky Eye telescope had detected radio signals likely from an “alien civilization”. The secret is complete!
“We are not alone !” You’ve probably heard this sentence before at the end of a film or a conversation and it also remains a great mystery for all space enthusiasts and lovers of science fiction.
It’s a bit like reincarnation or the weather (no relation to sauerkraut, we agree), everyone often has a clear opinion on it and unfortunately, in the absence of solid evidence, today’s kingdom of the extraordinary keeps coming back over and over again and the imagination. And it is very good!
Imagine finally discovering other guys like us somewhere in the galaxy… What are we going to do with all our movies that talk about little green and blue men with pointy ears, flying or dreaming of ambushing us?!
According to a report by the state-backed Science and Technology Daily, which appears to have deleted the report and posts about the discovery, China said its giant Sky Eye telescope may have spotted signs of extraterrestrial civilizations https://t.co/Nx16jCP1DD

In short, we digress, but policing space and searching for extraterrestrial activity remains a separate activity for many governments, and China is obviously one of them.
Because of this, In 2016, Beijing began building a giant FAST telescope for “500 meter aperture spherical radio telescope” or in French “500 meter aperture spherical radio telescope” and which has the cute little nickname “Sky Eye”.
Located in Guizhou province, this giant machine spends its days and nights scanning the skies to pick up narrow-bandwidth electromagnetic signals to prove the presence or not of some form of extraterrestrial intelligence.
Sky Eye has been in operation since 2020 after almost 4 years of construction and tirelessly observes the sky. Recently, a report appeared in an official Chinese newspaper before disappearing without a trace, mentioning “several possible cases of technological traces from extraterrestrial civilizations”.
It was enough to shake the international scientific community and demand an explanation from Beijing, which, as you can imagine, did not comment on the information, one way or the other…
So what really happened? Does China have tangible evidence of alien presence in the universe?
As is often the case in these cases, the community is divided, divided, torn… And when the info is deemed “interesting,” the most respected experts rely on simple radio interference instead…
There have been some reports that the FAST 500-meter-aperture radio telescope in Guizhou, China, has detected candidates for signals from extraterrestrial intelligence, including a suspicious signal from observational data from exoplanet targets. That’s interesting, but don’t get too excited.

Suddenly a lot less sexy, if so, we better understand why China made this embarrassing report disappear and the Chinese specialist could pass for amateurs… Which Beijing obviously can’t bring itself to do. So, no report, no question, no alien, no problem…
Unless the truth lies elsewhere…
