In addition to Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth, Square Enix also announced the remake Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII – Reunion at the 25th anniversary presentation of the series.

As it stands now, Square Enix is ​​really going all-out in retelling the story of Final Fantasy VII. In addition to announcing the second installment in the Final Fantasy VII remake series, Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth, the company also announced a completely renewed edition of the spin-off Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII. The PSP classic first appeared in Japan in 2007 and finally in the West the following year. He tells the prequel to Final Fantasy 7 around Zack Fair. As he meets numerous familiar faces from the main game, he finds out early on what’s really behind the SOLDIER project. With Crisis Core, the action-combat system found its way into the series, which is now standard.

In winter 2022, the remake of this story will be released with a generous revision and under the extended name: Crisis Core: Final Fantsy VII – Reunion. On the one hand, the 3D models and environments have been completely revised, the game has been fully voiced, the user interface and controls have been modernized and the soundtrack has been rearranged. In contrast to the remake of the main game, Reunion is not (time) exclusive for Playstation 5. PS4, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, PC and even Switch owners can also look forward to the new edition.
