The World of Warships: Legends Summer Update is now live

Legends, Live, Summer, update, Warships, World

One of America’s biggest holidays is no stranger to Legends! This time a lot of activities and bonuses await brave captains on the high seas.

First of all, the mission Dum Spiro Spero. It’s completely free and named after South Carolina’s official motto. The ultimate prize? You guessed it, it’s American Tier III Premium battleship South Carolina! The task can be completed until July 25th.

Other bonuses come in the form of compass roses for American ships. Every first victory for Tier IV Legendary ships between July 4th and July 25th will result in a one-time bonus depending on the ship tier. These include camouflages, crates, and Commander progression items.

There’s also a way to get more – permanent – camouflages and some exclusive Star Spangled skins for Cleveland and Baltimore by completing the special limited-time Bureau project, Broad Stripes and Bright Stars.

Nice finishing touch? Of course! Themed Ports in the Philippines, Liberty Pack Bundle for free in the Microsoft Store, and weekly rotating discounts on USN-related content in the store’s dedicated tab, including 40% off select XXL ship packs, all fall into this category!

Lucky Six campaign

This campaign is special despite being the classic 5-week endeavor with 100 milestones and the catch-up mechanic enabled. It features two Premium American ships: the Tier VII destroyer Black and the Tier V aircraft carrier Independence. Admiralty Support is required to get at least one of these after completing the campaign, with the ship that wasn’t the first choice being available for doubloons.

Black is a versatile destroyer with fast-reloading guns and radar consumables in her arsenal, while Independence, the first aircraft carrier to appear as the ultimate campaign reward, allows powerful units of torpedoes and dive bombers to be deployed.

Tier VIII is coming

Another level is coming to Legends! It will be introduced with the next update, but now we are ready to reveal that the first wave of tech tree ships will include 12 ships from 4 nations (USA, Japan, Germany, USSR), but even the initial Tier VIII content drop will not go through limited that number – with more powerful legends coming later this year. Stay tuned…

Pan-European destroyers are leaving Early Access

Industry-leading Tier VII Östergötland is here! She has strong AA defenses, fast torpedo reloads and even faster torpedo movements, as well as powerful main battery guns, making her a sailing arsenal that might not even need to smoke! Their arrival means – as always – that the Early Access line of pan-European destroyers is available for research. Fast torpedoes and powerful artillery layouts, as well as the Repair Party consumable, are more than enough to make up for the lack of Smoke Generator. These ships are a perfect opportunity to try out a combination of features drawn from both gun and torpedo boat playstyles.

This will be reinforced with the release of the pan-European, hard-hitting Tier IV battleship Viribus Unitis on June 27, with a special commander, Janko Vukovich, also making his legendary debut. The battleship is available in the shop, while the Admiral can be found in brand new European Commander Crates along with 3 of its kind. Two of them, Jerzy Świrski and Stig Hansson Ericson, are perfectly suited to pilot the fast destroyers!

balance changes

This update will include an improvement for four Italian battleships such as Tier VII Vittorio Veneto and Roma and some Japanese ships, as well as the introduction of semi-AP shells for Italian cruisers. These are coming as a test flight so there is a chance to see some changes regarding this ammo.

Chill out on the seas with Legends this summer and turn the tide!
