Xenoblade Chronicles 3 gets a 20-minute long Direct this week

Nintendo It has been announced that a 20-minute long presentation will be held, all about the upcoming Xenoblade Chronicles 3.

Announcing the presentation on Twitter, it will take place on the official Nintendo YouTube channel on Wednesday, June 23 at 3pm BST/4pm CEST/7am. The announcement says little about anything other than when it airs, but given that the game is set to launch in July, it’s sure to dig into what we can expect from an RPG.

Curiously, it was announced back in April that the game’s release date was brought forward rather than delayed. It was originally intended to launch in September of this year, but was brought forward to July 29, a very unusual move for the gaming industry.

This was paired with a trailer from the time that showed more of the game’s action. On the one hand, players will be able to control Noah through parties of up to six people, as well as many more characters they will encounter over the course of the game.

Each character has a unique class, but as players progress, they can mix and match these classes to create a unique custom party. In addition, the new game mechanics Interlink system also debuted in Xenoblade Chronicles 3.

The Interlink system allows characters to come together in seemingly specific pairings, and under certain conditions, they can combine into one giant mech-like thing called the Ouroboros. This obviously helps with some extra damage in tougher fights.

Apparently this Xenoblade demo is not a Nintendo Direct but everyone’s favorite industry insider Jeff Grubb tweet That fits with what he’s heard about Nintendo “doing the summer reveal piecemeal,” and he’s still expecting “more news later this month.”

Nintendo probably has a lot to show off, so we’ll just have to wait and see if they have a full Direct planned.
