Call of Duty: Modern war players have accidentally discovered the recently added "Category" menu.
Categories tile has been added to Call of Duty: Modern WarfareMain menu starting from the second season.
Although Infinity Ward has not officially hidden behind the tile, it is strongly believed that this is the game's long-rumored battle royale mode, which developers teased in the season's opening movie.
Just as some people managed to break into the Royal Battle Royale map, others have now entered the "Category" menu, showing many details about the mode and identifying other holes. First, the pattern is called War zone. This is the second time Warzone has appeared this week. The first mention of it was via-since removal-leaked promotional images.
Daily Sports captured it before it disappeared, and you can see it below.
The Warzone menu includes an option for running a training session, and an option for "class filling", which allows the game to match another random player (if not full) to that class. There doesn't seem to be any choice for single- or two-player games, although it may be present when the mode is activated.
But, more interestingly, there is also a Weapons tab under the Theater. Clicking on the tab will display the "Drop Kits" in the game, which can be edited before the game. It's unclear exactly what the Drop Kit is, but it's saying it's not a traditional loading tool.
Some cosmetics may be selected there, but the Drop Kit may also include some functional items that may need to be obtained during the competition and may be required to complete certain goals.
This was discovered by Reddit users TheWrongPerson and ARedWerewolf when the game failed.
According to @TheGamingRevoYT, And recent additions to game files reveal many other unique mechanics. Similar to "power outages", players can perform tasks, although the concept seems to have greatly expanded.
Some missions require players to aim and assassinate other random players, and these players then notify the target team that they are being hunted. Others will take the task of capturing the ruler flag or plundering certain items.
There also appears to be a post-mortem mechanism involving the dead fighting in Gulag. It's unclear how to proceed, but the document mentions the gaming system.
Obviously, we can't guarantee that all of them can be included in the release version, as they may only be explored during development. We will soon find out.
