Surely we’ve all heard of Final Cut Pro, a video editing application that is a benchmark in the industry. One of the many professional apps from Apple, also like Logic Pro, which are for sale in the Mac App Store. Some applications which are very expensive, but which we can buy using the student discount. A good idea.
A discount of 388 dollars, nothing less
Apple professional apps, as the name suggests, are for people who will use them for their profession. In this sense, prices are more of an investment than an expense. Separately, the pricing for the apps is as follows:
- Final Cut Pro: $299.99
- Logic Pro: $199.99
- Movement: 49.99
- Compressor: 49.99
- Main stage: 29.99
This represents a total of 630 dollars. Whereas with the student discount we can get the full pack for 242 dollars. A more than considerable discount, 388 dollars, even if we plan to acquire only one of the two main apps in the collection.
So how can I buy this pack? Very easy. The first thing we need to do is enter the Apple Education Store. For this we will have to sign up for Unidays and verify that we are students or teachers. We can do this relatively easily by receiving an email to our address ending in .edu, the TLD for education.
A process with its precautions
Once inside the store we will find the professional application pack that we can buy. We will deal with the order as if we were buying a physical product
In a first message Apple will send us a PDF with the keys to access the applications. This PDF is protected by a password, password that we will receive in a second email, at the same address. Joining the contents of the two emails, we can open the file and we will see five App Store codes. Five codes that we can use for our applications.
To do this, we just have to open the App Store on our Mac, touch our name at the bottom left, touch Redeem a gift card
Thus, with this system we will be able to enjoy Final Cut Pro and Logic Pro, as well as the applications that accompany them, in the best possible way. A system with which, as students, we can get our hands on great applications and take our first steps in Final Cut Pro, for example, and which tomorrow we will use professionally, having paid much less than buy them individually. A good idea, no doubt.
