The overdue co-op campaign of the current action hit Halo Infinite is finally nearing completion. A test announced for the run-up now has a concrete start date.
After registrations for the announced test phase of the Halo Infinite co-op campaign were recently possible, there is now a specific start date for this. 343 Industries has now announced one.
Players will therefore be able to preview the co-op campaign for ten days. The corresponding test event is scheduled to run from July 11, 2022 and will then last until July 22, 2022. Ultimately, all regular Halo Infinite campaign owners and gamers with an active Xbox Game Pass membership will be able to participate.
After 343 Industries has evaluated the feedback and experiences of this test phase, the co-op campaign will then be published as a full version later in the current year 2022; However, there is no concrete release date yet. The cooperative campaign – like the level editor called Forge Mode – has been delayed several times since the release of the actual game.
To participate in the beta, you will need to download a trial version and start over; it is therefore not possible to use an existing save. Progress from this test phase cannot be carried over or transferred back to the current original game. Otherwise, the campaign is fully represented in the test run and can be completed in online co-op with up to four players. In addition, the new feature called “Mission Replay” can then be tried out, which was also missing in the main game.
To participate, you must join the Xbox Insider Program; on Steam you have until July 5th to register.
