This weekend, the first private beta of the expected Bleeding Edge takes place; the first title released by Ninja Theory since joining the Xbox Game Studios family in 2018, and that It will only come to Microsoft programs on March 24.
Accessing this beta is very easy as we've mentioned before, since all members of the Xbox Game Pass and all those who made the booking of the title can access the technical test happening this weekend and that It will end next Monday at 17:00 CET. At Xbox Generation we've been waiting a long time to try out the new Ninja Theory project, and how could it be otherwise, we devoted a few hours of gaming since yesterday to bring us our first glimpse of Bleeding Edge.
What is Betting Edge?
Bleeding Edge is a new multiplayer game developed by Ninja Theory that combines fast and exciting 4vs4 games like Overwatch or Paladins, with pure style gameplay from Devil May Cry or Darkiders, since Combat is largely based on body and body combos and sequences. as well as unique abilities.
During this private beta we were able to access it 11 of the 12 character characters which will have the final version of the game, each with its own attack and special abilities. These characters are divided into three distinct groups depending on their abilities and their role in War, Damage, Assistance or Tank, but as we play, we will unlock developers that will allow us to customize the character's features, increasing for example their power or damage to a particular character.
The damage group is made up of characters who have the good ability to cause damage with low resistance; in the Relief team we will find ammunition set up to support the party, either by healing or by dropping the curses that weaken the rival party; Lastly, in the Tank team we will find characters who are very resistant to damage and can do great damage, but are simple and relatively easy targets.
Play as a team or die
At Bleeding Edge we will play competitive games in teams of 4 vs 4 where teamwork with our teammates will be crucial for us to win. If we decide to go on our own we will be the carnaza of a rival party, who will hunt us down and remove us when we are in trouble; to win we will have to engage forces with our players and combine our skills, this is something that is emphasized by the lesson of the game, because here is the real key to victory.
Before starting a game, we should consider building a balanced team, that is, it will be important for at least one of the players to use a support character; as well as the presence of a holding tank to attract the enemy's attention and to protect the team healer while the other players cooperate in the hunt for rival team healers, so a fast-moving character such as Daemon or Cass is also very good.
Game types are available during the Beta
During this trial they were only available Two game modes, Objective Control Mode and Power Collective Mode. Objective control mode is a classic mode in which we will compete with a rival team of randomly controlled mappings that in these areas will appear temporarily and in different parts of the map, and usually of three locations, preparing for a bloody battle between the two parties to gain control of the area; A team that has the ability to maintain backgrounds for a long time will win the game.
In Energy Collection Mode we will have to go through the map to look for other containers containing the energy deposit and bring it to the indicated delivery points. These items are divided into two parts, one for the collection where we have to get all the installed power, and the other part where we have to supply power to the marked time zone; However, if we hold power deposits and are disappointed, our opponent can steal and release, thus adding a large number of points.
During this beta we were able to play on two different maps, each with it different things we can work on to help us win the fight, or vice versa, that we lost badly, such as when they were hurling us at a rushing train or arrows falling over our heads.
Final Thoughts
Without a doubt, the Ninja Theory team did an excellent job in the development Blood Edge Creating a title full of personality and full of humorous humor which will also surprise those who dislike the highly competitive multiplayer games.
The only reason I can put it is that the fact that it's a team-oriented game makes it difficult to play alone, because you have complete confidence in your team, and how you earn it kamikaze (I've found a lot, I assure you).
