Cruz Brothers review

Brothers, Cruz, Review

The Indie scene is healthy, with strong support like Microsoft working for less skilled developers, with money, and incentives, thanks to services such as Game Pass. And the fact that independent cut-off games are loaded, in large numbers, of that forbidden item of previous times, the times when the actual attraction of video games came down to the fun they were offering. In this way, gems like Celeste Hollow Knight have always come, which has made us happy, especially old school players.

While the market is burdened by the need for economic scarcity, many young developers find a way to make love with gameplay, their origins or give their creations far more than photorealism. Unfortunately, none of these qualities can be applied to the topic we are analyzing today, as the Cruz Brothers' parents seem to be so focused on falling through each fraternity meeting that we are tired of seeing so many conflicting titles, but also the complete lack of trickery.

As for the piece, there is little to say. We are faced with the usual task of adjusting accounts, where a low-income capo played on us and now our characters want revenge. We can no longer go further because there is less compatibility in story mode, we are told based on dynamic animation and some actual video that can be a very significant part of the game. To achieve our goal we will be involved in street fighting, in fact illegal, with dozens of enemies who are still a common way of attacking neighbors, with their tattoos, chains and knives getting in trouble. And yes, mainstream is the name that will come out of this review, because everything we find in the game will remind us of classic sagas like Double Dragon, Street of Rage … and, you can get an idea of what I mean

Technical section

As for the hacking phase, we are facing a game that could roll over to one of the first Xbox (in HD of course) with finished graphics and illegal lighting and shadows and expired by 2020 and I would like to say that by 2010. The controls are slow, giving the impression of driving a freight train instead of what should be a skilled craftsman who won in a pujilistic environment. Four basic buttons we have a repertoire of hits, each with different strengths, but it's not worth it, because most of the time it will slow you down to hit it randomly, waiting for our enemy to respond as we wish.

And now I want to set aside the pictures. They are crude, slow, and repetitive, the exact opposite of the frenetism that we often struggle with in small quantities of quality. This makes each fight more frustrating than the previous, getting hit hard for no reason, because the technical maltreatment of the game.

The sound stage is also "normal" but is probably one of its minor problems. We can say that it fulfills its mission without much. I cannot highlight any specific problem or result, as it may seem.

Playing

The technical section does not always directly affect the title gameplay. In this case, yes, mainly because of the poor response to the controls and the complexity of the graphics, the essentials of any fighting game. It has three modes of play

  • Training mode: where we can learn to "handle the character", no more than six or seven basic attacks, special attacks and magical migration, because the attacker's journey is faster than the steps he takes, giving the impression that we are in a camp made up of those including at airports or shopping malls.
  • Story mode: consecutive combat if you give something out of the way to attack clone enemies. Other things have drawn our attention to the construction of the characters, among other things that they all have the same height, the same character and especially the fact that there is no female character!
  • Comparison mode: how to fight another local player. Which full-on 2020 fighting game does not have an online mode to compare? Cruz Brothers is the answer

I am sorry to say that it is not a fun game due to the repetitive nature of the game and the lack of variety in its content.

Time

Aside from the purpose of making wood from a fallen tree, the only way I think to describe the duration of the game is "anything you can carry". You can end the story mode in just over an hour, depending on the difficulty you choose. The problem is that it only has one story, the main character, without getting any arguments or any other way, or anything that invites us to repeat the experience. The only thing that can give some life to this game is the comparison mode, as long as you have someone at home willing to play it.

Conclusion

An unhealthy game that expresses a lack of enthusiasm and realism by its creators. With these properties, introducing the title of the catalog fight is extended to this Xbox, much like tossing a ship out of a lifeguard in a sea full of sharks.

Any re-worked combat title will give us a much more satisfying feel than the Cruz Brothers. If we keep in mind that it currently belongs to the Microsoft store for $ 29.99 euros, we have no choice but to advise on its purchase.
