With Frogwares, Sherlock Holmes and HP Lovecraft are a little bit at home. The Ukrainian developer has been offering us games based around these two universes on a regular basis for almost twenty years. Their latest title on Xbox One is the perfect illustration of that. The Sinking Cityreleased on our consoles in 2019, offered a detective adventure in a mysterious city where the threat of ancient creatures lurked above.
Before, Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened One appeared in 2007 and already offered a successful crossover between the Baker Street detective and the Lovecraft universe. Last week Frogwares announced that it had started work on a new version of this work. Scheduled for 2023, this remake also benefits from a Crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter. And this Thursday, the studio released a first trailer for the title.
In this video, Holmes drives into the New Orleans Bayou to escape his pursuers. But the sticky swamp seems even more dangerous than the sheriff and his men.
If Frogwares succeeds in carrying out his project, Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened One coming to Xbox One next year. Versions for Playstation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC are also planned.
