I broke up with Apple One. The culprit is Apple Music

Apple, broke, culprit, Music

At the time, Steve Jobs compared the PC to the Mac like walking to a bicycle. Something similar could be said of Apple Music compared to Spotify. Apple Music has many advantages, such as its integration with HomePods, Dolby Atmos sound or, for those who know how to appreciate it and have sufficient equipment, music without loss of quality.

However, Spotify beats it as an app, especially in terms of fluidity and lightness. Especially on macOS. Both in terms of performance and functionality: being able to grow a playlist automatically based on recommendations is one of my favorites, but there are so many more.

This made me wonder if I should unsubscribe from Apple One Premier. The answer was yes. Fitness+ is not to my personal taste, apart from Apple’s strategy of globalization of the service, to subtitle the videos instead of dubbing them at least. Arcade just isn’t for me. Even the staunchest Apple fans barely talk about this service, which is given the face of iTunes Ping. I stuck with TV+ and today’s irreplaceable 2TB iCloud Drive.

So, accounts made and decision taken, I decided to cancel the subscription and go to Spotify, where I don’t have as much integration, but I have more and better functions to discover music, a marvel called Spotify Connect to control where music plays from any device, for example to control what which is played on the Xbox from the iPhone (like AirPlay, but at the application level, regardless of the device); and ideal performance for those who spend their entire working day listening to music.
