It has been known for a long time that Street Fighter 6 is in the works. There is still no release date, but there were at least some new details about the title at EVO 2022.
The long-running beating series Street Fighter is to go into the next round with the sixth main part in the coming year 2023. While we’re waiting for a more specific release date, at least two more characters have been confirmed for the title.
As part of the EVO 2022 Brawling Tournament, Yuri has been confirmed as a returning character and Kimberly as a new character for Street Fighter 6. While Yuri continues as the sadistic suspense-seeker of Street Fighter V, Kimberly emerges as the newest ninja in the franchise.
Kimberly blends her ninja skills with her love of ’80s pop culture to create an engaging yet dangerous fighting style. Returning as a malevolent force, Yuri has added a few new tricks to her move set so she can enjoy her opponents’ suffering even more. Detailed descriptions of all their moves can be found on the official Capcom Blog
It has also been confirmed that longtime veterans of Capcom Pro Tour coverage, Tasty Steve and James Chen, will be adding to the real-time commentary lists in Street Fighter 6, which already features Vicious and Aru.
Later this year, the three game modes “Fighting Ground”, “World Tour” and “Battle Hub” will be presented in more detail.
