Years ago we stopped seeing the battery percentage in the status bar of an iPhone. Specifically, since the launch of the iPhone X. It was said at the time that it was due to a space problem, since when the upper notch appeared on the screen of all iPhones with Face ID, there was no more room for numbers.
But with the latest beta (the fifth) released this week of iOS16, it has been shown to be possible to see the remaining battery level in a value from one to one hundred. The truth is they could have done it before….
This week the fifth beta of iOS 16 was launched for all developers and among its novelties we should definitely mention the possibility of seeing the percentage of battery remaining that you have on your iPhone in the upper icon of the status bar. . A marvel that we have lost since the launch of the iPhone Xfive years ago.
If you are one of the developers who have already upgraded to iOS 16 beta 5, just go to Settings, then Battery, then turn on the new Battery Percentage option. You can even turn it on when you update your iPhone, or so some developers have reported.
It should be noted that in iOS 16 beta 5 this new battery percentage option he is not available on iPhone XR, iPhone 11, iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 13 mini. We’ll see if in the final version it continues like this. This limitation may be caused by a hardware issue, such as the pixel density of the display or a similar cause that prevents such small numbers from being seen clearly.
In any case, if iOS 16 is already in its fifth beta, there is not much left for the launch of the final version for all users, where we will see if said limitation is maintained or not. We will have patience, there is little left.
