We are seeing a downward trend in the smartphone market, but a trend that will not affect the new iPhone 14. The iPhone 14 Pro Max, along with the iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 and its Max variant, getting ready for a super launch with 90 million units ready this year alone.
Growing interest in this year’s high-end
According to Bloomberg, Apple has requested 90 million iPhone 14 units, the same number of iPhone 13s that were manufactured during the same period last year. A number indicating that Apple expects no drop in demand despite the difficulties the industry is going through.
Among the iPhone 14s that will be released this year, trends indicate a strong interest in the new iPhone 14 Pro Max. An iPhone which, as we have already seen, will expand the base storage to 256 GB, add a 48 MP camera, redesign its Notch to become an endpoint and take advantage of the new A16 Bionic. Changes that will also be adopted by its little brother, the iPhone 14 Pro, which will remain at a screen diagonal of 6.1 compared to 6.7 of the Pro Max model.
It is true that we expect the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max to be more expensive. Recall that Kuo predicts a rise in prices, but this does not seem to have dampened interest high end this year.
We are around two or three weeks after receipt of invitations at the iPhone 14 presentation event that will take place in September, if we pay attention to the usual calendar.
