It’s been a pretty bumpy road, but finally we have a release date for the first proper season multiverse: August 15.
A statement on Twitter from the game’s official account confirmed the new release date for the multi-platform, Smash-like fighting game and pointed to the next character – the namesake Morty From Rick and Morty – Available August 23rd.
“We’re excited to announce that Season 1 kicks off on August 15th with the all-new Battle Pass, which lets you win in-game rewards!” said a tweet Announcing a new date. “We can also confirm that Morty will be added to the character roster on August 23rd as part of Season 1. We look forward to sharing more in the coming weeks!”
Don’t expect new modes and content right away, though; this will all come later, as new elements of the game will be added in the first season.
“Quick Tip: Everything we bring to you in Season 1 won’t drop on the same day,” the follow-up tweet said. “New modes and content will be available throughout the season. We will continue to share dates for all the fun stuff!” This means that major changes, such as an overhaul to the hitbox and damage box systems, may be dropped mid-season, not necessarily Give up at the beginning.
This follows an August 4th announcement that confirmed that the game’s proper launch will be delayed as publisher WB Games and developer Player First Games tighten some screws and start working on the game’s backend. a little.
