Originally scheduled for August 9th and despite a somewhat blurry postponement, Player First Games has confirmed the new release date for Season 1 of MultiVersus. Rest assured it will arrive very quickly as it is now scheduled for August 15th.

This first season includes a brand new Battle Pass that will allow you to earn new in-game rewards. We also learn that Morty is from the animated series Rick and Morty, will join the playable characters on August 23rd. After the developers made the decision not to integrate everyone at once, his grandfather will join the fight at a later date.
Player First Games also makes it clear that you shouldn’t expect everything to be available at launch. But that all the new content, including the different game modes, will be added throughout the season, but without naming or even communicating exact dates.
Free-to-play and cross-platform, MultiVersus is available on Xbox One, Xbox Series, PS4/PS5 and PC and benefits from cross-progression.
