This is the end of an era.
Sony will close its PlayStation Community Forum on February 27.
The long-running forum has been announced in a post confirming that North American and European sites will be shut down.
The company appears to be incorporating its community interaction into its social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and the official PlayStation Blog.
The PlayStation Forum is largely a relic of the PlayStation 2 era, and now it seems that its community is not so active. So, although the company did not provide an explanation of its decision, it may just be part of the inevitable retirement of old school forums in the era of large-scale social networks.
Or maybe they were cleaning the house before the announcement. The PS5 will be released sometime this year, and as far as we know, the release date is that they will not be released publicly at any time. Now everything seems to herald what is to come.
At the same time, this is all we know about the console so far.
