I think I’m not wrong if I say that Rockstar is one of fetish companies for millions of gamers, and I include myself. The success of Grand Theft Auto (GTA) or the brilliance of Red Dead Redemption 2 make us place blind faith in their projects. On the other hand, it has us biting our nails for a new installment of one of its games.
Being the GTA V campaign one of the best single-player experiences that has passed through my hands, it makes sense that a server and corporate fans would want to know more about the new GTA VI, which officially confirmed its development in February, although we’ve already had some strong rumors and data that seems pretty accurate about the game’s development.
GTA VI will grow with single player expansions
The last thing we know about GTA VI is the rumor that the protagonist will be a Latin American woman and that the main studio is drop projects like Red Dead Online focus on this ambitious new development.
Today we have another speculation, which wouldn’t be on these pages if it weren’t for Tez2, a renowned Insider from across the GTA universe. The information is published on GTA Forums and basically tells us about Rockstar’s intentions to develop future expansions for GTA VI, something we saw in GTA IV but not in GTA V, where all downloadable content went to GTA Online.
“Expanding Over Time” means that Rockstar will go back to how they planned future content before GTA Online grew in popularity.
When GTA V was released, development of single-player DLCs had already begun before release. This is how we discovered the audio files that mention the opening of the Casino and other activities. Also, Liberty City was ported to GTA V, but at a very early stage of development. Both projects were abandoned, of course, in 2015.
The first wave of “new cities and missions” that we will receive in the form of DLC will certainly be planned before the release of GTA VI. And Rockstar will be able to allocate resources to any new titles they are working on after the VI is released.
Insider is even a little wetter when it comes to the type of single-player content we’ll be able to see in the new game.
As for new towns, I think for the most part we will be getting new towns or islands. Like Cayo Perico or North Yankton… like that. This way, Rockstar can introduce a new heist for the next GTA Online mode with each new DLC. If we’re lucky, we might get a full-fledged new town once in a while.
Everything we read about the new Grand Theft Auto VI is nothing short of thrilling. It seems to be a separate development from GTA Online, which makes it more sure for single-player game lovers to enjoy it.
