Another Thursday, another free game. This week you can not only get a classic for free in the Epic Games Store, but also free content for a rising star in the Battle Royale sky.
What Epic is offering you this week
- In Doom 64 you play the Enhanced Edition of the 1997 original released for the Nintendo 64. So you shoot your way through pixel corridors from the ego perspective and fight all kinds of demons.
- In the free battle royal game Rumbleverse 40 people compete against each other – and without firearms. Instead, wrestling moves are used to fight. The exclusive Epic game was only released on August 11, but is already enjoying great popularity. This week’s Free Promotion gives you this Boom Boxer Content Pack. This includes cosmetic items and a gameplay fame booster.
As always, the free offers last for seven days, so in this case until August 25, 2022 at 4:59 p.m. If you want to secure the skins for the somewhat different Battle Royal game or the shooter classic, then simply follow the link below:

The Forgotten Doom – Why Doom 64 is even better now than it was over 20 years ago
Do you remember back then, the year 1997? The successor to Doom 2 was released on the Nintendo 64. For the 25th anniversary of Doom 64, the Enhanced Edition title also came to the PC and consoles. Now you can even go back in time and relive Doom 64 for absolutely free!
The gameplay is based entirely on its predecessors: you fight hideous demons in narrow pixel corridors and let off steam in fast-paced battles with different weapons. You don’t heal yourself like in Call of Duty, you still have to pick up the medipacks from the ground. Just the old school. So if you’re nostalgic or just want to catch up on the old shooters, you should grab this one.

Rumbleverse – First gameplay from the Free2Play brawler
Rumbleverse is still fresh on the market, but already has over a hundred thousand players thrilled. The refreshing change that in a Battle Royale you don’t always have to shoot, but that close combat can also be fun seems to be well received. Despite the comic graphics, colleague Dennis is also very impressed, as you can read in the following article:

The new Battle Royale sensation does not require firearms
Inside the content pack is the exclusive Boom Boxer set. With these skins you can get into full boxer gear: from boxing gloves to boxing boots, everything is included. You’ll also get an exclusive background and border for the title card, as well as a two-hour gameplay fame booster that increases the experience points you earn.
What do you think of the two new free promotions? Will you grab one of these? Tell us in the comments!
