Old School RuneScape fans also have something new to look forward to later this month, as a brand-new raid is coming to the game on August 24th. Called Tomb of Amascut, players will have to delve into a whole new environment for new loot, including powerful weapons and armor.
If you’re not at the top of the OSRS process, don’t worry, as Tomb of Armaskut has a call system that allows you to adjust the difficulty of raiding different elements. These come in the form of buffs and debuffs that can change the challenges you may encounter.
The raid continues the story established in the quest under the cursed desert and has players venturing beneath the desert to stop Amascut’s evil plans. The raid itself is divided into four main parts, which can be completed in any order the player chooses, each with its own unique puzzles and/or combat challenges.
Rewards for taking over and completing the raid include a new staff, the Shadow of Tumeken, as well as the three-piece Masori armor set, Elidinis’ Guardian Shield, Lightbearer Ring, and Osmumten’s One-Handed Weapon. So all OSRS players have a good reason to jump in and give it a try.
This update comes after a major wilds update for RuneScape, a more modern version of the Jagex MMORPG. This focuses on deadly PvE combat areas while offering optional PvP for hardcore players looking to wipe out other adventurers.
