It’s official: there’s going to be a new GTA video game. Considering the popularity of this game so far, it’s to be expected that Rockstar Games won’t be stuck on GTA V.
Here we tell you all the latest GTA VI news (although that name hasn’t been confirmed yet): when it will open, where it can be played, and how it will differ from the current GTA V.
When is GTA VI coming out?
The first thing to keep in mind is that there is no official release date for GTA VI yet. We know that the game will exist, since the company has confirmed that they are working on this sixth installment, but we do not know when it will be available.
Also, keep in mind that five years passed between GTA IV and GTA V, which is a long time. However, the last version of the game was released in 2013, which makes us think that it probably won’t take long for Rockstar Games to release GTA VI.
When we say “don’t delay”, we are talking about the 2024, or even 2025.
What platforms will GTA VI be available on?
It is very likely that GTA VI will be available for the latest PS5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles, although it is also likely that, as happened with GTA V, a specific adaptation for PC will be made later.
What will GTA VI look like?
Obviously, it’s still too early to know more about the game. However, some details have been confirmed. For example, in 2020, the intention to change the “culture” of the franchise was published in Kotaku. Apparently the company had a very toxic work environment which they intend to change.
We don’t know if they will stop being sexist, among other things. Things that should never have been seen, neither in video games nor elsewhere.
The truth is that times are changing (thank God) and mechanisms that unfortunately worked a few years ago are now colliding and making us question ourselves. The truth is, we’d like to see a GTA VI with less hate speech.
On the other hand, Dan Houser will no longer be present. Whoever was the founder of the saga left in 2020, which means that the next GTA VI will surely have a different touch.

Also, although it is not official, a new mod has just been released that greatly improves its graphic section, with clouds with volume, more vegetation, windows in transparent buildings that let us see their interior, and new lighting that makes the game much more realistic.
