For everyone who lives under a rock: Tonight gamescom 2022 starts with Opening Night Live, but there is also something to see beforehand. Here’s the info on where and when you can stare.
After two years of arid and rather mediocre online events, gamescom is back – physically and virtually. And on the very first evening there is a lot to see. Tonight is the big Opening Night Live with Geoff Keighley, which is set to showcase new footage from over 30 games…among other things. But even before that there is a treat for shooter fans, because Bungie is streaming about the future of Destiny 2.
18:00 – Destiny 2
Let’s start with Bungie. The actual stream starts at 6 p.m., with a pre-show at 5 p.m. Information about the new Season 18, which also starts tonight, is expected. But it is more than likely that the next expansion Lightfall will also be officially announced and presented today – all leaks point to this. Practical: if you have seen the show, you can jump straight into the new season, which is scheduled to go live from 7 p.m.
You can watch the Destiny 2 stream at the stated times Twitch, YouTube and Bilibili lead to heart, on the German Twitch channel even supposedly with subtitles.
20:00 Uhr – Gamescom Opening Night Live
The real highlight of the evening is of course the transmission of the Opening Night Live from gamescom with Geoff Keighley, this time without a pre-show. Over 30 games are set to be presented on stage, so expect plenty of new trailers. The entire show should take around two hours, but the gamescom Awards are also represented, so it’s not just about new information.
Among other things, there should be:
- The Callisto Protocol
- Dying Light 2 Stay Human: Bloody Ties
- The Expanse: A Telltale Games Series
- Genshin Impact
- Goat Simulator 3
- Gotham Knights
- High On Life
- Hogwarts Legacy
- Honkai: Star Rail
- Lies of P
- Return to Monkey Island
- Sonic Frontiers
- Tales from the Borderlands (laut Leak)
- The Outlast Trials
