We’re in for days of calm before the storm, with the iPhone 14 event pointing to September 7 (I was betting on 12 or 13 but I’m glad I’m wrong if we expect less) and with clues growing clearer. And few things can be clearer than a model code appearing in a database.
This time, Mysmartprice was the media that discovered that the data, extracted from the Indian Bureau of Standards oh BIS. The iPhone 14 appears in this database with the model number A2882. The iPhone 13s have model code A2482, A2631, A2634, A2635, and A2633, so the pieces fit together quite nicely.
Interestingly, Bloomberg also commented on how India is going to get involved in the manufacturing of the iPhone 14, presenting itself as an alternative to China and diversifying the number of countries that manufacture Apple’s flagship device. Apparently want to shorten production timesalthough company secrecy complicates this.
If the iPhone 14 presentation event takes place on September 7 we should soon see the official invitations to the press, because it takes several days to prepare it. We’ll wait patiently, but there shouldn’t be many left.
