As every month, the Disney Plus platform unveils its new features and here are those of September 2022 with a pack of beautiful additions for Disney Day.
The month of August 2022 was already full of novelties on Disney+ with the prequel to a cult film, and the month of September follows the same path. Of course there is still plenty of Marvel and Star Wars, but also the return of three witches and a new Cars series. Here is the program with the Disney Day selection.

Pinocchio (September 8)
Guillermo Del Toro (Pan’s Labyrinth, Pacific Rim…) will not be the only one to re-adapt Pinocchio, a small wooden puppet with mythomaniac tendencies. A new Disney film directed by Robert Zemeckis, Mr. Back to the Future is collaborating with Tom Hanks as Geppetto, the creator of the sculpture, for a live-action feature film. Musically, Alan Silvestri (Back to the Future, Abyss, Predator…) will try to captivate us.

Hocus Pocus 2 (September 30)
“They magically come back”. The dreadful Sanderson sisters, played by Bette Midler (Le Club des Ex, Et l’homme created la femme…), Sarah Jessica Parker (Sex and the City, Footlose, Ed Wood…) and Kathy Najimy (Sister Act, Wall-E, The Bride of Chucky…) are back almost 30 years after the first film, which by the way has its little reputation.
In this new adventure, the infernal trio – straight out of the XVIIe century and thirsts for revenge. will go to the town of Salem once more. But on this Halloween, three brave high school girls will do whatever it takes to stop these rampaging witches from wreaking havoc on the town…

Wedding Nightmare (September 30th)
We can’t help but highlight Wedding Nightmare, THE beautiful slasher surprise of 2019 and the last few years from the duo Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, starring the excellent Samara Weaving (The Babysitter, Guns Akimbo…). The directors of Scream 5 and the next Scream 6. Wedding Nightmare and Wes Craven’s franchise also share this satirical dimension.
We’ll show you the trailer, but it’s best to go there without a picture.

Star Wars Andor (September 8)
Diego Luna celebrates a comeback as Cassian Andor after the success Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, one of the few modern episodes that is universally agreed upon. Andor is an original series set exactly 5 years before Rogue One.

The Old Man (September 28)
Jeff Bridges (The Big Lebowski, K-Pax, Tron…) will be at the center of a new original series reserved for the Star Adult Division, The Old Man.
Adapted from the Thomas Perry novel of the same name, The Old Man tells the story of Dan Chase, an ex-CIA agent who has been on the run for several years and is now forced to confront his past in order to plan his future secure when he finds out about it. An assassin tries to eliminate him.
