A short but exciting game game show early this week is marauders. This multiplayer survival predator FPS lets you venture into space in search of supplies, fending off other players while you do your best to achieve good results.

Entering Steam Early Access in October 2022, players eager to join earlier can take part in a series of technical tests between September 6th and 14th. More information on these tests will be available on the official Marauders developer blog.

Narratively, it has an interesting premise. The game is set in the 1980s when World War I never ended. As a result, the world has become over-industrialized and on the brink of destruction, forcing some to venture into space as a better alternative to the war-torn world below.

It’s all about navigating dangerous places and finding supplies alone or with up to three other like-minded friends. With the loot you earn, you can craft new weapons and gear, and salvage valuable materials to persist in the frigid space.

The game seems to follow very closely the basic formula established by Escape from Tarkov, albeit with some unique aspects such as upgradeable spaceships and dog fighting. According to the official postgamescom opening night live stream, you can upgrade the weapons on your ship before using them to shoot down and rip off parts and valuables from other ships.

What’s your take on looters? Does it look like something you’d be keen to play with? Let us know below!
