Crunchyroll offers Chainsaw Man fans a more than extensive preview of the anime, which is expected next October. Let’s say if MAPPA manages to maintain such impressive animation quality throughout the season, we may have the best anime of 2022 there.

Chainsaw Man first appeared in the pages of Shonen Jump in 2018 and swept the Japanese manga scene like a tidal wave and quickly became known as one of the pre-eminent shonen of this new generation that saw the birth of Demon Slayer, Jujutsu, Kaisen or more recently also Kaiju N°8. A true story bomb Chainsaw Man breaks through the genre’s classic codes and becomes a genuine, unidentified graphic object that is both visceral, violent, adult and yet devilishly funny and refreshing.
After a first part in 11 volumes currently on sale (in France it is Kazé who takes care of the edition), Tatsuki Fujimoto is now pursuing the second part of his work for publication on the Shueisha online platform Manga More.

Chainsaw Man, the anime bombshell of the year?
Let’s face it, the images that come to us from Crunchyroll are delicious! After Attack on Titan and Jujutsu Kaisen, MAPPA should excel once again with this season of Chainsaw Man, which should cover the entire first part.

There really are no limits. We didn’t think about any censorship because we want to live up to the fans’ expectations. We tried to be as faithful as possible to the manga in terms of scenario without asking ourselves questions about censorship. That’s the charm of Chainsaw Man. Should we ever receive any comments regarding violence and sexuality after the anime’s release, we will ask ourselves the question. However, we have a little concern about certain countries on how the anime might be perceived.
