The Bookbound Brigade is a style that has its own style in the genre of Metroidylvania that tries to find the perfect group of false warriors to fight the evil that has ravaged the world. The variety of characters we find throughout the story make for a fun and entertaining conversation that tries to go a little further in the story that, on the other hand, is a bit weird.

After a brief introduction to the world and explaining why all these people are forced to work as a team, they give it away for free. The next thing that happens will depend on you. At the beginning of the game, as the movement begins, the controls, quite simple, are briefly taught. When it comes to combat, just give the buttons to all the buttons, which is ultimately heavy, though at least it allows you to quickly eliminate the enemies you will encounter.
With regard to history, we consider it to be over. A large number of personality items can still attract the attention of some players, but it seemed to me that this only completes the game, in fact, none of them start to go deep. You know somebody, they give you referrals for finding lost fossils, and so on. They don't grow new interactions and it's so easy for you to forget that you've met others until you find something random.
The rest of the story is about how strong you are as a team, ultimately, to unlock all the lost memories. However, the way they develop this method becomes boring and offers laziness. For example, Dracula forgets that she has the ability to jump twice. However, after a brief chat with a random NPC, he repeats it miraculously again when the whole group jumps twice. The general idea of the subject is good and has many potentials, but its use is often lacking.

Since we have this huge number of characters and everyone brings something new, we would love to get more variety when it comes to combat. However, they have chosen a straightforward approach where all the characters attack with one voice and that does not change the way they are calculated. At some point, you will receive a critical attack that will do more damage and change the attack index from white to yellow. However, in general, the lack of variety creates a sad experience that never makes us want to play again.
However, that's not all bad news for the Bookbound Brigade, because the visual style of his handwriting is so good. Plus, it separates both characters and their time well. The design of the world also creates well-drawn domains that add a certain personality to the levels we've been through. It should also be noted that each enemy is very well made and is exactly the same size of the world in which it is located.
Overall, the Boxbound Brigade falls somehow and this story is generally not good enough to keep us intrigued. And even though the original idea made us think it would be fun and that we liked the idea of combining these mythological characters, in the end it didn't live up to our expectations. The story was a bit of a trick from the beginning and it kept you tired, the combat system was very simple and easy. In all of this, it ultimately falls well below what would have been a very positive impact on the genus of metroidylvania.
