EA wants to secure its market position with FIFA 23 and beyond with the upcoming EA Sports FC against the competition and has now communicated fresh licenses and some extensions. FIFA 23 therefore again promises a huge degree of authenticity.
With FIFA 23 and future EA Sports FC, Electronic Arts aims to deliver the most realistic football game available on the market. Additional licenses have now been secured or existing agreements extended, so that you can already look forward to over 300 official partners, 19,000 original professionals, 700 teams, 100 stadiums and 30 global leagues in this year’s part.
This year’s title is intended to depict football more realistically than ever before and also works on content that has already been licensed. In the German Bundesliga alone there will be 173 new Starheads to represent the players of the local upper house in detail.
When it comes to licenses, there are also innovations: In future, you can also gamble on the Italian Serie B in FIFA 23 and thus descend into the Italian lower house. The agreement with the American Major League Soccer was renewed, as was that with the Liga Profesional in Argentina and the Saudi Pro League.
Other agreements reached relate to the Professional Game Match Officials, the Premier League Referees Association, the English Football League, the Football Association and the Barclay’s Women’s Super League.
And: EA has also screwed on the club cooperation! Newcomers are Scottish giants Rangers FC and Celtic FC, as well as Mamelodi Sundowns. The existing partnerships with Tottenham Hotspur and Leeds United have been expanded.
There are also new matchday atmospheres at some of the most iconic stadiums in the world, including Boca Juniors’ La Bombonera, SC Freiburg’s Europa-Park Stadion, LA FC’s Banc of California Stadium, PSV Eindhoven’s Philips Stadion and the Womens ‘ Manchester City’s Academy Stadium.
EA previously announced a multi-year agreement with LaLiga that will see a full rebrand, including new in-game integrations, broadcast highlights and shared support for grassroots initiatives. The Italian heavyweight Juventus also returns to the series in the original.
