collei is a new character introduced as part of the big Genshin Impact 3.0 update. Although it is available on the Tighnari and Zhongli banners at an accelerated rate, you can also get Collei for free as part of the Graven Innocence event in Genshin Impact.
This means that if you get Collei for free and then draw her wishing on Tighnari or Zhongli’s Banner, you will instead receive her Stella Fortuna, which can then unlock Collei’s Constellations. This will further enhance his under-DPS abilities.
Collei is a 4-star character who uses the new Dendro element in Genshin Impact, so it is recommended to add him to your team so that you can use the Dendro element to solve exploration puzzles and combine it with others items to help fight Sumeru’s new enemies.

How to get Collei for free in Genshin Impact
To get Collei for free in Genshin Impact during Genshin Impact 3.0 update, you need to complete the tutorial quest “The Unappreciated Sculpture” in the Graven Innocence event.
The Graven Innocence Event starts as soon as Update 3.0 is released on Wednesday, August 24and ends Tuesday, September 27a day before the release of Update 3.1.
Inviting Collei essentially acts like removing her from a banner, so if you already have the 4-star character Dendro, you’ll receive her Stella Fortuna instead. As mentioned above, each Stella Fortuna can then unlock a Constellation Tier, enhancing Collei’s abilities.
To participate in the Graven Innocence event and get a free Collei in Genshin Impact, you must first be at least Adventure Rank 20.
It is also recommended to have completed “The Trail of the God of Wisdom” in Archon Quest Chapter 3: Act I “Through Mists of Smoke and Forests Dark” to enjoy the story – but it is not required. Choose “Basic Mode” from the Graven Innocence event menu instead to start it if you haven’t completed this Archon quest yet.
In addition to getting Collei for free when you complete the tutorial quest “The Unappreciated Carving”, you will also unlock the “Meticulous Crafting”, “Roaming the Jungle”, and “Metamorphosis of Wood” events. These are part of the larger Graven Innocence event, and completing their stories and challenges grants rewards such as Primogems, Mora, a Crown of Insight, Mystical Enhancement Ore, and materials.

How to Start Unappreciated Sculpting in Genshin Impact
To start The Unappreciated Carving quest in Genshin Impact, you need to travel to Port Ormos in the Sumeru region. If you haven’t visited this country yet, see our How to get to Sumeru page.
Port Ormos itself is located in the southern part of Sumeru, so you will have to travel to reach this location. Fortunately, you can find a Waverider Waypoint on your travels that will allow you to arrive at port in style.
Once there, you must visit Acara Crafts which is located on the upper level of the port. A cutscene will automatically begin when you reach the toy store, and upon doing so, the Uappreciated sculpture quest will begin.
How to complete The Unappreciated Sculpture quest in Genshin Impact
The Unappreciated Sculpting quest in Genshin Impact allows you to track down Tanger, a children’s author, so he can help Acara Crafts create children’s toys. He is however looking for inspiration, so you will have to go to Gandharva Hill to find him.
Instead of Tangier, you’ll find Collei, and after a cutscene, her character will automatically unlock. The quest is still worth completing for access to the Graven Innocence event and its rewards.
Next, you will need to find Tangier in the hills north of Gandharva Ville.
After finding it, examine the nearby tree hollow and read the three notes lying on the ground.
After talking to Tangier again, the quest will now only progress between 00:00 and 04:00; you can either wait for time to progress naturally or skip ahead. When the time comes, return to the hollow of the tree and watch the cutscene.
In the morning, return to the hollow of the tree for the third and final time to witness the end of the quest. You will now be able to participate in the Graven Innocence event! You’ll also earn 80 Primogems, 20,000 Mora, 2 Hero’s Wit, and an Exquisite Kamera, which will only be available for the duration of the event.
