A 90’s rating on Metacritic – most games can only dream of that. Immortality makes it though, although the title has probably slipped under the radar for most. The recently released interactive film has hardly any Steam reviews so far!

What is Immortality about
The interactive film is about the mystery surrounding Marissa Marcel. The actress has starred in three films, which have never been released. Neither was Marcel ever seen again, the film star suddenly disappeared.
You must uncover the truth by sifting through old videos, interviews and film snippets for clues. You jump from one video to another by using so-called Match Cuts
finds. The term is primarily used in movie jargon when similar looking images are cut together.
In Immortality you are looking for excerpts of the video you have that are similar to other film recordings and are thus forwarded to more and more hidden moving images.
What makes the game so good?
Immortality was penned by Sam Barlow, who co-authored Her Story and Telling Lies has already made waves in the genre. The new game is supposed to go one step further and has so far delighted most critics. PC Gamer awards 95 points, for example. Well Played even goes one step further and gives Immortality full marks!
The interactive film is particularly inspiring with its story and the mysteries that keep getting entangled. The acting performances are also convincing. According to the previous reviews, the unusual gameplay aspect leads to a high replay value, since more video snippets could be hidden everywhere.
The story high-flyer is available in Game Pass and Netflix
Game Pass users can look forward to: The title has been included in the deal since Day 1, so you can play Immortality directly at no additional cost. but Netflix customers can also be excited: The interactive film will also appear on the mobile app. Once that is the case, you will also find Immortality in your Netflix subscription.
