The developers at Strikerz Inc. were probably a bit too optimistic. Nothing will come of the planned release later this year.
The British studio Strikerz Inc. has big plans. After all, they want to compete with established greats like EA Sports FIFA and eFootball from Konami with the free-to-play title UFL – and even without a big license, apart from a few cooperations with various European clubs.
It was clear that this would not be an easy undertaking and it was already suspected in advance that the planned release in the second half of 2022 belonged more to the realm of fantasy.
This assumption has now been confirmed in a video update by the developers. Strikerz Inc. has officially pushed back the release of UFL to next year. According to CEO Eugene Nashilov, the game is currently 80 percent complete, but more time is needed to further polish the title to a high gloss. In December they want to comment again on the release date.
The CEO also revealed that there will be an event in the near future where fans can play the game before the official launch to provide further feedback to the developers.
