The Oppo Band 2 crosses the line between fitness tracker and smartwatch, due to the larger screen size and number of built-in features. Specifically, the big novelty is the 1.57-inch AMOLED panel it has and which makes it look more like a smartwatch.
The larger screen lets you view more content at once, without having to constantly scroll to see it all. Moreover, it also makes it easier to view data and as an added bonus, it allows for more attractive watch faces to be displayed. Although, as usual, the big advantage of AMOLED will be in the consumption of electricity, especially with the interface mainly in black.
To take advantage of the screen, Oppo allows us to use new, more colorful faces, and even allows us to create our own style, to better match the two different bracelet models that will be available.
Despite the size increase, Oppo assumes it’s still a lightweight device, something important if we’re going to be exercising; the weight remained at 33 grams with the bracelet included.
Speaking of exercise, the Oppo Band 2 includes more than 100 different modes and has functions dedicated to health. It is able to monitor heart rate in real time, in addition to displaying health indicators; It even has a blood oxygen meter. The new OSleep sleep monitoring system will be responsible for detecting possible problems while we sleep, including the detection of snoring, and the new CRF (CardioRespiratory Fitness) system has been developed by Oppo itself when we “crush” in the gym.
Despite the larger screen, Oppo promises a long battery life, capable of reaching 14 days. In addition, the fast charge will allow us to gain a full day of use with only 5 minutes of charging.
The Oppo Band 2 will be available in Europe for 69 dollars from November, in two different colors, blue and black.
