In Tower of Fantasy you can choose between a series of characters or avatars that you can activate on your protagonist. The main difference between these is their associated weapon, resonance, and element. Here’s who they are and which ones are the best for crafting damage builds (dps), defense, support (healer) and PVP.
The first thing you should know about these avatars is that they are unlocked by rolling banners in exchange for cores. The character is always given to you with their associated weapon, though they can use any weapon. Generally speaking, the characters work more or less like skins, because what matters is what weapons you use.

Once the introductions are made, I’ll tell you what the best team builds are for all styles of play.
Settings for Damage/DPS (Attack)
if you want to have one offensive setup and centered on damage per secondthen you should choose two characters of the DPS type/resonance to activate the attack effect (+10% final damage, +40% when playing in a group). These are the best teams at the time I write this guide:
- Team 1: Samir, KING and Nemesis.
- Team 2: Raven, Nemesis and KING.
- Team 3: Tsubasa, Nemesis and KING.
The best damage/DPS type characters are (in order): Samir, KING, Shiro, Tsubasa, Crow, Bai Ling, and Echo.
Settings for Defense (Fortress)
Do you want to take a lot of attacks? Are you interested in a playstyle focused on tanking attacks and protecting your allies? These defensive setups They allow you to have a lot of resistance to blows and great protection against enemies.
You must choose two defensive resonance characters to activate the Fortress effect– Increases damage reduction by 25%, destruction by 60%, and aggression by 800%. When playing in a group, damage reduction is increased by +20%. These are the best teams:
- Team 1: Meryl, Huma y Zero.
- Team 2: Huma, Meryl y KING.
- Team 3: Huma, Ene and Cocoritter.
The best defense-type characters are (in order): Meryl, Huma, and Ene.
Configurations for Support (Sacramento)
Neither support nor defense. Your vocation is to take care of your colleagues offering support with healing and temporary bonuses. Add two support type or resonance characters to activate the sacrament effect: Increases healing by 100%. When playing in a group, it increases an additional 100%.
- Team 1: Cocoritter, Zero and Shiro.
- Team 2: Samir, Nemesis and Zero.
- Team 3: Tsubasa, Cocoritter and Nemesis.
The best support-type characters are (in order): Nemesis, Cocoritter, Zero, Pepper, and Hilda.
Settings for PVP (player vs player)
These builds are no mystery – use them if you want to battle other players in Apex League mode.
- Team 1: Meryl, Nemesis and Cocoritter.
- Team 2: Nemesis, Cocoritter and Zero.
- Team 3: Nemesis, Meryl and Huma.
Finally, I show you which are the best characters in general terms and classified in different tiers (S+ > S > A > B > C):
- Clase S+: Samir, KING and Nemesis.
- Clase S: Shiro, Tsubasa, Meryl.
- A class: Cocoritter, Crow, Huma and Zero.
- Clase B: Pepper, Ene y Bai Ling.
- C class: Hilda, Echo.
