“What do you mean by ‘0.5 percent drop rate’?!”

elden ring is full of equipment. From curved blades to large shields, along with full sets of armor dress your afflicted like a werewolf knight, there’s no shortage of gear to get into the Lands Between. But while some items scattered throughout FromSoftware’s beautiful, desolate world are easy to find, perhaps picked up by a fallen boss or buried in a random chest, others can take hours upon hours to acquire. So we thought we’d help you out by listing some of the rarest weapons in the game and explaining how to get them.

Like other Soulsborne games, elden ring has enemy drop rates, which means you can often do what your opponents are doing. this statistic, largely based on random number generators, makes acquiring items a chore as hell, since the likelihood of gear spawning is unpredictable. If something like the common dagger, has a high drop rate, you’re more likely to find it in either the Lands Between or on a dead enemy. However, since some weapons only have a 0.5 percent drop rate, it’s likely that you’ll spend a few hours farming them if you decide to acquire them. That sounds crappy, but there are ways to increase the drop rate, including leveling up the detection statistics via arcane and equipping items that multiply an item’s drop rate.

You need to improve that drop rate

Discovery is the attribute to look out for when breeding for hard-to-obtain weapons. A stat that literally affects the likelihood of finding equipment on enemy corpses, detection starts at 100 points. Yes, you could roam the Lands Between with this basic starting level, but put runes in it the arcane ability increases your detection status, which increases your drop rate. In addition, you could equip the silver scarab and Silver Teardrop Mask, both of which increase your arcane abilities (which increase your detection stats) and increase your chances of item drops. If that’s not enough for you, you can also use the Poultry Feet consumable inlaid in silver to further increase your detection stats and improve item drop rate for three minutes. Now it’s time to find shit.

So, here are four rare ones elden ring Weapons with the lowest drop rates.

A smol dagger in the shape of a sickle

It comes first with a drop rate of 0.5 percent the sickle of the celebrant. This dagger doesn’t do much damage with a physical attack stat of just 79 points, but what makes this weapon special, aside from being rare to obtain, is its passive ability. Each successful hit earns you 10 runes. Sure it is Quickstep weapon skill, an action that lets you avoid damage by dodging, is cool and comes in handy in tense fights with multiple enemies. However, nothing compares to the fact that attacking enemies in the Lands Between will only get you a little bit richer. Feels good man.

In order to get this one you have to travel there Dominula, windmill village, a flowery outpost on the Atlus Plateau populated by spooky dancing cultists. There are two enemies in the village clad in tattered blue robes carrying the dagger and these are the only two enemies worth killing here. You could fight the other cultists, which is possible either drop it the ax of the celebrant or Celebrant’s Rib Rakebut it’s the dagger you want for the rune gains. (It’s worth noting that the other celebrants’ weapons also give you runes.) While the Celebrant’s Sickle has a 0.5 percent drop rate, meaning you’ll spend a while farming it, there’s a Site of Grace just outside the outpost. All you have to do is hit this Site of Grace, kill the two blue clad cultists and repeat until you get it.

A hot sword made of magma

The next is the magma blade, a curved sword with a one percent drop rate. It’s not that strong and only deals 96 points of physical attack damage. However, its meager attack stat is made up for by the sword’s flashy weapon skill: Magma Shower, which spews huge pools of lava onto the ground for continuous fire damage to an enemy. That alone makes it a pretty worthwhile weapon, even if it’s tedious to actually fight it.

You have to get going the dreaded legacy dungeon Volcano Manor to find that blade. After being transported to the lava-infused site and making your way to the Temple of Eiglay sanctuary, all you have to do is look for those human snakes with glowing swords in their right hands. The Human Serpents aren’t particularly tough, but because they hold the Magma Blade, they also use the Magma Shower weapon skill. So be careful when fighting them so you don’t get burned. And again, if you don’t get the Magma Blade on the first few tries, all you have to do is respawn at the Place of Grace and try, try, try, try again.

A two-for-one set of noble swords

Finally, the nobleman’s estoc and Noble slender sword are two weapons that can be found in the same area, but since they both have a 0.5 percent drop rate, you’ll likely find one before the other. Starting with the Nobleman’s Estoc, this thrusting sword deals 104 physical attack damage and is paired with the thrusting weapon skill Impaling Strike. The nobleman’s slender sword is said to be the longest straight sword in the world elden ring, has a physical attack damage value of 101 and is equipped with the Square Off fast-slicing weapon skill. In truth, both weapons are medium sized, but their low drop rate makes them collectible.

To get these swords you have to go back Limgraf. Yes that’s right, you will return to the early areas to farm these weapons. There are other places where you can find them such as: the Legacy Dungeon of Raya Lucaria Academy or the depressing Caelid regionbut the Waypoint Ruins is the best agricultural place. A little apart from this site of grace is a troll-drawn carriage with some Godrick soldiers and wandering nobles behind it. As you might have guessed from the weapon names, it’s the nobles you kill here and that’s it. So smack their ass, collect what they drop and repeat this process until you get the blades. It will take a while so be prepared.

This is just a small selection of rare weapons that you can find inside elden ring. There are loads of others to add to your bag including the Gilmir Glintstone staff and Greatsword of the Watchdog. Keep your eyes peeled as you navigate the Lands Between. You never know what you might encounter.
