You are not alone and want a new one fable trailers such as Microsoft Studio Head Matt Booty wanted to show it off, but playground game Understandably, it’s not quite ready yet.

The new Fable was revealed back in 2020, but like many games these days, it’s a movie trailer, so there’s no gameplay to speak of. Who knows where it might be developed, but according to what Booty said on a recent panel at PAX West, it still needs more time in the metaphorical oven.

“Part of my job is to provide air cover for the team,” explained Bootie. “They don’t want to show stuff up front before it’s ready, but if there’s a game that’s a little bit upside down and every time I see something I’m like, ‘We should show this,’ it’s a fable. Because there’s a lot of cool thing.”

However, Booty also noted that “the team has made it clear that I won’t be able to show anything until it’s ready” which is obviously an incredibly understandable position given the history of the series, thanks for giving a Peter Molyneux.

Fable isn’t the only game we haven’t heard much about Booty talking about at PAX in a while. perfect darknessrevealed last year, is in development initiative and Crystal Dynamicswhich was sold to Embracer Group a few months ago, raising questions about the game’s continued existence for the uninitiated.

But according to Booty, everything about this game is fine. Discussing a developer no longer making big games, then goes on to say “We just had this big partnership with Crystal Dynamics, and I read online that it must mean there’s a problem. Quite the opposite.”

Booty went on to explain that Crystal Dynamics is a very experienced AAA team, and obviously they’re someone Microsoft wants to work with, so it doesn’t sound like the acquisition will have much impact on Perfect Dark.

Booty was also asked how you would reboot Joanna Dark for a modern audience, and he admitted that some things “don’t age well.” If Xbox wants to get Game Pass, Perfect Dark needs to do a lot of other things.
