Game news PSVR 2: 4K gameplay for Firewall Ultra, exclusive to PS5
If you’re excited for the PlayStation VR 2 headset and love Firewall Zero Hour, this news is for you. Sony has just announced the arrival of Firewall Ultra, a PlayStation 5 exclusive, on its PlayStation Blog.
Gameplay for a PSVR 2 game
After getting their hands on Sony’s first-ever virtual reality headset, the PSVR, First Contact Entertainment is back to make an offer to Firewall Ultra players. Expected for PSVR 2, this sequel to Firewall: Zero Hour is a multiplayer FPS that aims to push the boundaries of the genre.
In order to achieve such a goal, we learn that the title (which unfortunately has no release date yet) will use all the functions of the VR headset. In particular, we learn that it will integrate 4K (Watch the trailer in 4K), but also HDR, and that all character models have been completely reworked.
The game takes place five years after the original adventure. The contractors and places you love have evolved to adapt to the new generation. Since PSVR 2 offers a significantly higher image fidelity thanks to 4K and HDR, we have completely reworked all character models. Frank Marm, Community Manager, First Contact Entertainment
Also note that we will find the maps of the first opus, but they will be arranged differently and will benefit from new textures to once again make the most of the capacity of PlayStation VR 2.
The rules have changed
For those who have already spent many hours on the first work, know the rules have changed to make this sequel more competitive. From now on, the title will therefore have dedicated servers, but also and above all will offer multiple rounds within the same game. In order to win a match, two out of three rounds must be successful.
Finally, Firewall Ultra will integrate a PvE experience that emphasizes team play and uses the PlayStation VR2 Sense feature and eye tracking. Thanks to the cameras integrated into the PSVR 2 headset, it is possible, for example, to change weapons or display HUD displays simply by moving your eyes.
