What would go down as the star release of 2020, Cyberpunk 2077, will go down in history as one of the gaming industry’s most disappointing releases. Expectations of an open world with a futuristic setting have been met with a host of “bugs” and failures resulting from accelerated development.

Over the months, CD Projekt Red has attempted to address these issues and clear its name, with free updates that have greatly improved the experience, including a future expansion, Phantom Liberty, which will add more content.
The latest of these updates, 1.6, brings an interesting novelty, arcade machines that we can enjoy in the world of Cyberpunk 2077. One of these games, Roach Race, has also been released on Android.
The Witcher game for Android
Roach Race is a parody/homage to classic video games, which incidentally also parodies the other video game CD Projekt is famous for: The Witcher. The protagonist is none other than Roach (Sardinilla in Spanish), Geralt of Rivia’s horse, who tries to escape from his master through levels inspired by the popular saga adapted as a Netflix series.
As a game, the truth is that Roach Race is quite simple. It’s an ‘auto-runner’, one of those games where the main character is constantly running and our only goal is to avoid obstacles and enemies. The control is very simple and we only have to press the touch screen when we want the horse to jump; therefore, the key to progress is timing those jumps well and learning enemy patterns. If we hit one, we’ll brake and Geralt can catch up to us, ending the game.
It is true that it is not the most exciting or complicated game that we can get for Android, but it is a good detail that it has appeared in the Play Store to download completely free of charge, especially if we are fans of CD Projekt games and can appreciate the nods to The Witcher. Additionally, this serves as a warning that we should retest Cyberpunk 2077 to see if they fixed all the issues it had.
