After the new PS5 DualSense Edge controller, Microsoft is presenting a version of its pro controller: the Xbox Elite Series 2 Core. And it’s not aimed at the same audience as its big sister.
A price drop on the Xbox Elite Series 2 Core Controller
White with hints of black here and there, the Xbox Elite Series 2 Core Controller goes straight to the point while remaining a high-end model. It features adjustable roll pins, adjustable stroke triggers, and a special grip that the regular Xbox series controller doesn’t offer. “We therefore created a premium controller that offers unparalleled customization and allows you to play with your own configuration .”
This Xbox Elite Series 2 Core is sold for $129.99, a $50 reduction compared to the black Xbox Elite Series 2. But to achieve this more competitive and affordable price, the Redmond-based company has removed all standard accessories. No more interchangeable paddles, joysticks and d-pads, charging station or carrying case. All that remains is the controller with its USB-C cable and the small tool to make the settings. Accessories can be purchased separately at the price of $59.99. Therefore, purchasing the Core Edition controller and accessories separately is more expensive than the black premium Xbox Elite Series 2 model.
