Where to Find Clay in Disney Dreamlight Valley
You will need to unlock specific biomes to find clay, as some materials can only be found in certain areas of Disney Dreamlight Valley.
To find clay, you need to spend Dreamlight to unlock the Glade of Trust, the Sunny Plateau, or the Forgotten Lands
The Trust Glade also contains hardwood and iron ore, needed to repair the destroyed raft as part of Goofy’s quest. However, if you need clay and another material not found in the Trust Glade for another quest, or just for your own crafting needs, feel free to unlock the Sunny Platter instead – which you will first need to unlock to gain access to the Forgotten Lands.
How to Get Clay in Disney Dreamlight Valley
To get clay in Disney Dreamlight Valley you need to use your shovel to dig holes in the Glade of Trust, Sunlit Plateau or Forgotten Lands biomes. As mentioned above, these are the only places you can search for clay so far.
You’re not guaranteed to get clay when digging a hole in any of these biomes, but it’s not a particularly rare find, so you’ll soon have piles of clay to craft if you spend some time cultivating it.
If you are going to be farming clay or any other material in Disney Dreamlight Valley, we recommend that you either bring meals with you to keep your blue energy bar replenished, or unlock the wishing well in the area where you cultivate, so you can fast travel between the biome and your home to refill your energy bar without making a meal.
While digging, you must also “hang out” with a character that has a digging bonus, because that means they will sometimes find another clay after you find one. This digging bonus is not limited to one character, as you can choose which bonus each of the villagers gets when you reach a certain point in their friendship.
