Stranger in Heaven: Final Fantasy Origins is no stranger to downloadable expansions, with the Trials of Kings DLC coming to mixed audiences in July. Initially, it’s locked behind Bahamut, the hardest difficulty in the game.
That said, publisher Square Enix and developer Team Ninja have announced that they will be introducing a brand new DLC to the game called Wanderer of the Rift. The new expansion hits PC via Epic, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, and PS5 on October 26, 2022.
Just like the previous expansion, this DLC will be available as part of the Stranger in Heaven season pass. If you buy the season pass (currently £19.99 or $24.99), you’ll get access to all three content packs for the game.
This includes the Trials of the King and the Wanderers of the Rift DLC, but will also include different future content coming soon.
As for what’s included in the Rift Rover DLC, Square Enix released a 10-minute DLC cinematic trailer showing what players should expect. This includes a brand new location called “Dimension Labyrinth,” as well as a new Blue Mage class for players to try out. There are still plenty of new monsters and quests to start, so October 26 seems to have a lot to keep players busy.
This might not seem like the biggest expansion, but there’s a lot of content to diversify the challenges players encounter; including the Blue Mage’s Summoning Stone, which lets players capture and use a variety of special monsters in battle.
